Our 2016 October Athlete Highlight is:
Congratulations Loren! We want to take a minute to say how impressed we are with Loren and his progress! Loren came to us almost a year ago wondering if we could help him strengthen his back after having some serious back issues he was rehabbing. We said YES, and so did he, to retraining his body to move correctly, and gain flexibility. In the time he’s been at 3 Peaks, he has not only gained flexibility, but stamina, endurance, speed, and serious strength! We’re so proud of all he has accomplished thus far and look forward to where he’ll be a year from now! Great Job Loren!
Questions we asked:
1. How were you introduced to CrossFit?
I don’t remember where I heard about it but I remember thinking that the exercises looked like they would be useful for real life.
2. If you never had to do this one exercise ever again,
Inverted burpees or Turkish get-ups. Each seems awkward and I can’t seem to get through them smoothly.
3. If you had to make up your own wod it would be?
An AMRAP with hanging power clean, box jumps and a run. I like getting out into the moving air during the WOD, even if I don’t like the running.
4. Tell us a little about yourself, families, hobbies, job etc.
We own a ranch and that is where you will find me when I am not at my 9-5. One of my favorite things is enjoying the outdoors with my family. Hunting, fishing or building fence, as long as I am out there, I am happy.
5. Your proudest accomplishment:
My proudest accomplishment is having two daughters that love God.
6. Your favorite cheat meal?
Lasagna. It’s pretty rare that I have any since my house is gluten free.
7. What you love about 3 peaks CrossFit?
I really appreciate the people that make up 3 Peaks. Everyone encourages and pushes each other.
8. Something we might not know about you is?
There isn’t much about me that folks won’t know. I’m an open book.
